What we collect.
Only your email address — and only when you actively submit it to subscribe to our newsletter via the form on cellarbench.com.
We don't collect anything else. No analytics. No tracking pixels. No comments. No user accounts. No payment data (we don't process payments — books are sold via Amazon under their own terms).
Why we collect it.
To send you the Fermentation Cheat Sheet you signed up for, and occasional brief emails when a new calculator is published or when a book in the Fermentation Series ships on Amazon. At most one email a month. Often less.
Who we share with.
Two third parties are involved in delivering this site:
- MailerLite — our email service provider. Stores subscriber emails, sends the cheat-sheet and any subsequent updates, handles unsubscribes. Located in Lithuania (EU). Privacy policy: mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Cloudflare — our hosting and CDN provider. Cloudflare logs basic technical information (IP address, request path) for security and performance. They do not receive your email address. Privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We don't sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with anyone else. We have no advertising partners. We have no affiliate programs that track conversions.
Cookies.
MailerLite's signup form (on the home page, calculator pages, and newsletter page) may set a small cookie when the form loads, used internally by MailerLite to associate your submission with the right form and to prevent duplicate submissions. We don't use cookies for analytics, marketing, or any other purpose.
How long we keep it.
For as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe (one click in any email), your address is removed from MailerLite within 72 hours.
Your rights.
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Know what data we hold about you
- Correct it
- Request its deletion
- Receive it in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@cellarbench.com. We respond within 30 days.
If you believe we've handled your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Children.
Cellar Bench is for adult home fermenters in jurisdictions where home fermentation is legal. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy.
If we change anything material — what we collect, why, who we share with — we'll update this page and the effective date above. Active subscribers will receive an email summarising the change.
